At long last! The first promotional image for my upcoming webcomic, Call Sign Spirit!
I’ll be giving these out in postcard format at Otakon this year alongside my buddy Jade, who played a HUGE role on getting this image come into fruition!
As for what it’s about? Well… You’ll have to see! ;)

An old promotional image for a comic that I ultimately never made. Reposted from my personal blog.

Dream Birds: The Starry SwallowWatercolor and gouache on white Saunders Waterford 140lb CP paper, 8.2” x 11.6”
The Starry Swallow is the first in a series of paintings depicting the strange and mysterious birds that haunt my dreams. A result of avid birding and love for all avian lifeforms, my subconscious sometimes produces creatures that have never seen the light of reality. Only through art, do they come to life in two-fold; They are given form and representation. They have a reality to them that could not come in any other form. And in the process, another mind breathes life into a non-existent creature. One that cannot exist anywhere save for the world of the viewer’s imagination. From one mind to another, would you let the starry swallow find a home in yours?
Prints will be available for sale at SPX, running from September 14-15 in Bethesda, Maryland.
